Geringer Art is a private company that has been incorporated in Hawaii since 1995. Its founder and President, Sheldon Geringer, has been a pioneer in the study and marketing of Philippine and Southeast Asian Fine art since 1989.
In the early years of his career, between 1983 and 1989, Mr. Geringer was active as a private dealer involved in buying and selling antique Chinese and Southeast Asian objects, including ceramics, jades, and scroll paintings. Since then he has expanded his interests and specialties to include a wide range of 19th and 20th century works by painters who worked in Southeast Asia as well as Chinese modern masters.
In 2015, Mr. Geringer co-organized an Manila based auction of the works of Fernando Zóbel from the Estate of Jim and Reed Pfeufer and also produced a short film: Zóbel and the Pfeufers: A Friendship in Art and Letters.
Mr. Geringer is especially interested in the works of Fernando Amorsolo, Fernando Zóbel , Vicente Manansala, Ang Kiukok, Anita Magsaysay-Ho, Romeo Tabuena, Jose Joya, Fabian de la Rosa, H. R. Ocampo, Roland Strasser, Affandi, Rudolf Bonnet, Willem Hofker, Antonio Maria Blanco, Jean Le Mayeur, and Park Soo Keun.
