PATRICIO GASTON BLOCQUEL O’FARRELL (French/Philippine, 1879 – 1942).
aka GASTON O’FARRELL
Gaston O’Farrell was born on September 7, 1879 in Paris to a French mother and a Filipino father. His parents later settled in Manila. He is mentioned as having been a student of Juan Luna who travelled with Luna to Japan in the summer of 1896, and is also noted as having been a member of the Manila Artist’s Association.
A copy of Juan Luna’s Self-Portrait, executed by O’Farrell is in the collection of the Lopez Museum.
